Bachelor’s in Communication Arts – Concord University

The Bachelor’s in Communication Arts degree requires the successful completion of 120 semester hours, including (1) the Program of General Studies; (2) completion of the Communication Core; and (3) an area of emphasis in at least one of the six Communication Arts areas.

Areas of Emphasis for Communication Arts

  1. Broadcast Meteorology Emphasis

  2. Broadcasting Emphasis

  3. Journalism Emphasis

  4. Public Relations Emphasis

  5. Speech Emphasis

  6. Theatre Emphasis

Within the general studies curriculum provided by the University, communication students are required to take COMM 101 and THEA 102A/THEA 102B.  Taking one year of modern language is strongly recommended.
