Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering – Marshall University

The Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering degree program teaches students to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering. Students will practice mechanical engineering within accepted standards and develop and meet personal goals, objectives, and desires.

Graduates of the program will understand how to design systems to specified needs, identify and solve engineering problems, and use modern techniques, skills, and engineering tools in real-world applications. With these they will have an understanding of professional and ethical responsibility.

Admission Requirements:

  • Admission to the program requires a minimum composite ACT score of 21 with a math score of 24, or a minimum SAT composite of 980 with a math SAT of 560.

  • Transfer students must have completed MATH 127/130, College Algebra, and MATH 132, Pre-Calculus.
