The Bachelor’s in Social Work degree program provides students with the skills necessary to become effective beginner and professional practitioners in social work. Improving and enhancing the well being of society as well as tending to the environmental forces that create and contribute to these issues, are fundamental to social work. Social work is about promoting social justice and social change with and on behalf of others. Populations that are vulnerable, oppressed, or living in poverty are examples.
Graduates will possess the knowledge and skills necessary to intervene on behalf of clients for social work issues. This program also acts as a stepping stone for farther graduate studies.
