Bachelor’s in Sociology – Shepherd University
The Bachelor’s in Sociology degree program provides students with a strong liberal arts education designed to enhance the understandings of human behavior, culture, and society.
Two areas of concentration are available for the Sociology program. Students will choose one track to determine the course material they will receive. Students will receive instruction and one on one mentoring and advising.

The Bachelor’s in Sociology degree with a Traditional concentration focuses on preparing students for graduate school. It also prepares them for finding employment in a variety of areas, including government agencies, private businesses, or non-profit organizations.

The Bachelor’s in Sociology degree with a Criminal Justice concentration focuses on preparing students for law school or employment. Employment areas can include law enforcement agencies, probation officers, or a local police force.
