Doctorate in Nursing – Shepherd University

The Doctorate in Nursing degree program provides education in nursing, business, informatics, and healthcare administration.

Graduates from the Doctorate in Nursing program will demonstrate abilities to integrate theory and practice in areas of health policy and law, administration, business, evaluation,systems, population health, and evidence based practices.

When a student begins their program, they will select one of the two areas of concentration below to follow in.

 Areas of Concentrations:

  • Nursing Leadership Administration

    • The Doctorate in Nursing degree with a concentration in Nursing Leadership Administration prepares students to synthesize business and nursing sciences in high profile positions in emerging healthcare systems.

  • Family Nurse Practitioner

    • The Doctorate in Nursing degree with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner focuses on the delivery of health care services to vulnerable populations.
