International Financial Aid
Merit-based academic scholarships and waivers for undergraduate international students are available through Admissions, with additional opportunities through the Honors Program. Athletic scholarships are also available through the Athletic Department. Variable tuition waivers and assistantships are available to international graduate students.
International Admissions Requirements
Suitable academic credentials and English language proficiency equivalent to 79 TOEFL (internet based) or 6.5 IELTS. Lesser proficiency will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis with possible admission to the Intensive English Language Program.

English Language Program
Shepherd University offers an Intensive English Language Program (IELP) course of study to qualifying students who need advanced English Language skills. Students must meet complete the university-based oral and written English proficiency examination.

Shepherd has a variety of on-campus housing, to include 12-month units, and meal plan options that are available to both undergraduate and graduate students. International students are fully integrated into the campus community and student life.
