The Geography and Planning emphasis prepares students for jobs that relate to land use and economic development, urban and regional planning, and posistions in local government. The curriculum also includes a required internship in which students will apply concepts of geography and planning.

The History emphasis is designed for students who seek to study nearly all aspects of human life and interaction. This concentration also includes courses in war, economics, politics, gender, culture, geography, sociology, science, and others.
