The Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies degree program prepares student as entry level medical professionals. They assist primary care physicians with all medical and patient care responsibility with the health care system. Students will focus on practicing cognitive and problem solving skills specific to the diagnostic process, practice patient care methodologies consistent with the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant guidelines (ARC-PA).
Graduates of this program will be clinically competent primary care Physician Assistants, reflect high standards of ethics, be team oriented, be critical thinkers and effective communicators, and be able to identify the lack of medical care in rural and underserved regions.
