Bachelor’s in Health Science – West Virginia State University

The Bachelor’s in Health Science degree program prepares students for work within the health and health education related fields. Their are two areas of emphasis available to students if they wish to take them.

Areas of Emphasis:

  • Community Health Education (non-teaching)

    • The Health Science degree with an emphasis in Community Health Education is intended for students who wish to work as health educators. This emphasis prepares individuals to take the C.H.E.S (Certified Health Education Specialist) exam.

  • Leadership in Allied Health and Rehabilitation

    • The Health Science degree with an emphasis in Leadership and Allied Health and Rehabilitation is intended for health care providers in allied health fields. This emphasis builds upon an individuals knowledge to enhance their skills as they relate to the allied health disciplines.
